Launch 48
Just one week ago, the world watched as Hurricane Melissa, a Cat 5 storm hit Jamaica and wrought unimaginable devastation on the Northwestern part of the island where Dreamer Catamarans has been based since 1987.
Of the Dreamers Catamarans staff and crew we have been able to account for, we are truly grateful that no one suffered major injuries. And we pray we’ll be able to reach those who we have not been able to communicate with soon.
Our offices and base of operations, as well as our fleet of Catamarans have sustained significant damage. We are currently assessing the extent of the damage and preparing plans for repairs and restoration.
Consequently, all operations have been suspended until we are able to reopen at our high standard of safety and service excellence. We will update with our reopening date as soon as possible.
All our staff have been greatly impacted by Hurricane Melissa personally, with many of their homes being partially damaged or completely destroyed.
We are very grateful to the Dreamer Community for setting up a Go Fund Me account to help support the staff and crew with immediate needs and the rebuilding their homes.
